Hiroaki Ogata, E‐Book‐based Educational Big Data and Learning Analytics in University Education
This talk will give an overview of the Educational Big Data research project at Kyushu University, Japan. This project uses an e-book system called BookLooper, which allows students to browse e-books in Web browser, PC, mobile devices such as smartphones. This talk will mention why we introduce e-book in the University and initial findings.
Masanori Yamada, Learning data for effective and efficient learning improvement: from the viewpoint of self-regulated learning
Learning analytics research (LAR) suggested many useful findings for the improvement of education and learning. In order to use learning analytics findings for it,detecting powerful learning data for effective education and learning should be desirable. I will talk about our preliminary research findings that indicated the relationships among learning behaviors, learning performance and self-regulated learning awareness.
Atsushi Shimada, Learning and Teaching Support in Cyber-Physical Education System
Media processing, such as image processing and text analysis, plays an important role to realize Cyber-Physical Education System. My talk will introduce several applications to enhance students' learning cycle and to support teachers' education through the analysis of educational materials and a large scale of education logs.
Julitte Huez, Peer-instruction and ACTIFS project at INPT
The "ACTIFS" project has for main objective to improve the efficiency of the lectures by arousing a greater implication of the students in their learning, and it by means of questionings led by the teacher. Ready in the INPT since September 2015, we’ll give a feedback about this project in this short talk.
Benoit Escrig, The teaching counselor mission at INPT
Since septembre 2014, the INP Toulouse put in place three teaching counselors. Their mission is threefold. The first goal consists in promoting pedagogy throughout the institution. This is done through workshops and informal meetings with colleagues. The second objective is to coach teaching teams. This is done by anlyzing their practice and co-constructing approaches to improve their teachning abilities. The third goal consists in providing guidance to the institution about topics like teaching assessment.
Vincent Charvillat, Editing micro-teaching video ressources: an IDEX project
With micro-learning in mind, we'll introduce a simplified chain for producing video micro-ressources. New data formats and software components are currently devised in the project with a threefold objective: 1) using pre-formatted input data, 2) simplifying video shoots in a green-screen studio 3) easing final video editing through web services.
